AWSS Membership Application The Association for Women in Slavic Studies is a non-profit organization which aims to promote the interests of women in the field. Dues for membership in the Association are $30.00 per year ($10 per year for graduate or undergraduate students), in US dollars only, with joint memberships (two people at one mailing address) available for $5 in addition to the appropriate category above. Associate memberships for scholars outside North America are available at $10. (Please inquire for information about Life Memberships). Membership includes a subscription to the AWSS Newsletter, Women East-West, founded by Mary F. Zirin and currently edited by Rhonda Clark, which is a forum for concerns of Association members and reports on research and issues related to women and gender in the Soviet successor states and Central/Eastern Europe. Membership also lets one join AWSS-L, an electronic mail list created to further scholarly conversations among AWSS members.
