The Loyola Clinical Centers is a community-based organization operated under the auspices of Loyola College in Maryland, providing comprehensive education and training of graduate student in and across a variety of disciplines. The Loyola Clinical Center is committed to the ideal of social change in service to the community, the city, the nation and the world and dedicated to research and scholarship of the issues that most affect the ability of people to develop, change and lead fulfilled and meaningful lives. For the first time in the Baltimore metropolitan area, one institution is offering a truly unique and comprehensive approach to the educational, psychological, and spiritual well-being of our community. That institution is the Loyola Clinical Centers. The name Loyola is synonymous with academic excellence and compassionate community service. The Loyola Clinical Centers are built upon these twin traditions wherein we combine the expertise of internationally-recognized scholars and clinicians with deep commitments to community partnership. Specific goals include: - Providing comprehensive speech and hearing services to adults and children
- Supporting and strengthening families through individual and group behavioral health assessment and therapeutic services
- Providing multidisciplinary evaluations of adults and children with learning, language and attention problems
- Advancing language and literacy development in both adults and children
- Collaborating with local agencies and organizations so as to strengthen the community with a special emphasis upon outreach to at-risk populations
- Pproviding clinical training and research opportunities for Loyola students
- Providing the opportunity for Loyola faculty to make contributions to their community and to their professions
