New Web Student Showcase

The Pound is a new student-run website that highlights student works, community events and activities for the Loyola Community. The website was created by Spring 2009 senior capstone students in graphics, web design and digital media. View the news release. Take me to the Pound.

Communication Students Won Third Annual Loyola Film Festival

Liz O'Marra (team captain), Renzo Gomez, Cuyana Davis, Mike Wall, and Philip Scholz won the festival prize for their documentary "Second Serving" about the Dogwood Restaurant in Baltimore's Hampden neighborhood. This was the second festival win for Dr. Cook's class, "The Documentary Tradition." View the flyer.

New Speech and Debate Team Coach

The Communication Dept. is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Elizabeth (Betsy) Oakes as coach of the Speech and Debate Team. The team competes in forensics tournaments throughout the east and is recruiting now. For more info, contact Dr. Oakes (ehoakes@loyola.edu).
