2011 Caulfield Memorial Lecture

The Communication Department endowed speaker series, the Muriel and Clarence J. Caulfield Memorial Lecture, this year featured David Plotz, editor of the prominent and influential online news source, Slate.com, on Thu., April 14, 2011, at 5:00-6:00 p.m. in McGuire Hall. This event was open to the public. Plotz's recent book, entitled Good Book, is about what he learned from reading The Bible from cover to cover. Plotz's 2005 book The Genius Factory is about the Nobel Prize winners sperm bank and progeny.

Loyola Communication professors Elliot King, Russell Cook, and Mitchell Tropin have authored a new textbook customized for CM203:  Currents in Communication: Textbook, Reader, Notebook, Kendall Hunt Publishers 2010. Four sections of CM203 are offered in Spring 2011.
