Welcome to Loyola University Maryland's School of Education website. I urge you to explore the various programs, events, and activities described on these pages to gain a deeper understanding of our academic curriculum and how it prepares graduates to make a difference in  classrooms and schools in diverse settings.

Loyola is dedicated to examining and unpacking this complexity. We view education for social justice as more than a collection of disciplines, but as a field of intellectual inquiry and practice that integrates the disciplines. Loyola's School of Education holds a unique leadership position in higher education through our unwavering commitment to academic excellence, service, and social justice in schools, communities, and neighborhoods. We strive to educate the whole person, in intellect, consciousness, and spirit, in a tradition captured by the Latin phrase cura personalis.
