Non-Degree Special Student Option

Certified special education teachers are eligible to pursue individual courses for continuing professional education to obtain graduate credit which will be used toward a graduate degree at another institution. Individuals pursuing courses in this manner are considered non-degree students. An application for admission is required prior to initial registration. Subsequent registrations submitted within one year of initial enrollment are permitted on semester-to-semester basis with approval of the chair of the education department.

Individuals who wish to continue beyond the two course non-degree limit must formally apply for admission to a degree or post-master's certificate program. Please contact the office of graduate admission for further information.
