The School of Education at Loyola University Maryland prepares you with the knowledge, skills, and tools you need to be an effective educator in any classroom. Supervised internships with local schools help you put theory into practice as you learn it. We offer an Elementary Education major and two options for minors-Secondary Education or Special Education. For secondary certification areas, we also offer a 5-year combined certification program where you graduate with a bachelor's degree in the area you wish to teach, as well as a Master of Arts in Teaching.
