| Scope | The Graduate Assistant for Alcohol and Drug Education and Support Services (ADESS) will assist the office in planning, implementing and evaluating a wide variety of prevention initiatives. Loyola’s Alcohol and Drug Education and Support Services office received a grant through the Department of Education to implement new prevention initiatives, and support and expand current initiatives. The graduate assistant will assist with these initiatives. |
| Hours & Wages | Work up to 400 hours/semester. May include some weekend and evening hours. $16.85/hour (60% tuition/ 40% stipend). |
| Specific Duties | Work with the Projects co-directors to assist in the development and implementation of a Community Coalition Research theories and best practices Develop relationships with Loyola community members and members of the Baltimore community Facilitate trainings Participate in meetings, trainings and conferences Additional administrative work as assigned.

| Qualifications | Demonstrates well developed interpersonal and communication skills. Strong public speaking, group facilitation and program planning skills. Employs organizational and detail skills, and possesses the ability to be flexible in the midst of varying circumstances. Demonstrates ability to independently handle the majority of job responsibilities and make decisions requiring sound judgment. Motivated and a Self-Starter Knowledge and skills related to alcohol and other drug prevention and intervention programs and strategies. Requires some evening and weekend hours. Exercises sound judgment in dealing with confidential information and maintains appropriate level of discretion.
