I. BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES A. Provide program support for CCSJ programs and initiatives that connect service and spirituality. B. Participate in supervisory meetings each week and staff meetings as needed. C. Participate in direct, ongoing service. D. Facilitate conversations about faith or spiritual development with student staff and volunteers. E. Participate in and support other programs of the Center for Community Service and Justice when necessary (i.e., sponsored lectures, Project Mexico auction). F. Provide general office support as needed. II. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES – RESOURCES FOR CCSJ STAFF A. Prepare resources for use by and education of the CCSJ Staff on the connection between service/justice & faith/spirituality. B. Share materials with CCSJ Staff and others on campus connected to specific events (i.e., Earth Day), and how these events link service/justice & faith/spirituality. C. Perform other duties as assigned. III. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES – SERVICE & SPIRITUALITY EVENTS A. Assist with planning and implementation of the commemorations of the assassinations of the Jesuit priests at the UCA, the four churchwomen, and Archbishop Romero (in Nov., Dec. and Mar., respectively), including campus publicity and education about the events to enhance awareness and participation. i. Only one of these commemorations will be highlighted as a big event each year, but it is important to provide alternative ways to remember the other martyrs by connecting their anniversaries to other activities already happening on campus. B. Assist in bringing a speaker to campus to talk about service from a faith/spiritual perspective. C. Perform other duties as assigned. IV. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES – REFLECTION GROUP A. Coordinate all aspects of the weekly Service & Spirituality Reflection Group (publicity, agenda preparation, room reservation, etc.). B. Serve as the facilitator of the weekly Service & Spirituality Reflection Group. C. Perform other duties as assigned. |
