Loyola's Sellinger School of Business and Management will host its second Outside In week, a speaker series connecting Loyola alumni and local business executives with current Sellinger School undergraduate and graduate students, March 15 - 19. Two of the events will be free and open to the public:

Monday, March 15 - "AMDG in Action: Jesuit Values in the Non-Profit and For-Profit World"
A panel discussion on Jesuit values in business featuring two husband and wife generations of the Baird family—William J. Baird, Jr., '61; Joanna Baird; William J. Baird, III, '86, MBA '94; and Mary Baird—discussing their work in the for-profit and non-profit sectors. The networking portion of the event will begin at 5:45 p.m. in the 4th Floor Program Room on the University's North Charles Street campus, with a panel discussion to follow at 6:30 p.m.
The event is co-hosted by the Sellinger Women's Network, a group that promotes networking and leadership skills among female students and alumni of Loyola's Sellinger School of Business and Management, and Loyola's Green & Grey Society, a group of seniors selected by Loyola's President based on their leadership skills and contributions to the University community.
Baird, Jr., and Baird, III share a wealth of experience in the sales, legal, compliance, and operations industries. Baird, Jr., is a former engineer turned executive at risk management firms Willis Group, Corroon & Black, and Alex Brown Risk Management, and is currently involved on boards and in volunteer work for the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen, Our Daily Bread, St. Ignatius Academy, Schmidt Printing, Fraternity Federal Bank, and Good Shepherd Center. Baird, III, is managing partner of Brown Advisory Securities, LLC, a firm providing comprehensive solutions for an array of individual and corporate clients and all aspects of the broker dealer business, and is currently a trustee for Catholic Charities and Loyola Blakefield high school, as well as a board member at the Sellinger School, Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation, and No More Stolen Childhoods. Joanna and Mary Baird are both active in volunteering at local community organizations and non-profits, including Our Daily Bread, Stella Maris, Red Cross, Children's Hospital, St. Joseph's Hospital, and Greater Baltimore Medical Center.

Thursday, March 18 - "The Current State of the Economy"
A panel discussion featuring Tammy Darvish, vice president of DARCARS Automotive Group and a Board of Sponsors member at the Sellinger School; Karen Olson, president of Biomarker and a Board of Sponsors member at the Sellinger School; and Lou Cestello, regional president of PNC Bank and a Loyola University Maryland Trustee. The event will begin at 7 p.m. on the University's North Charles Street campus in the Loyola/Notre Dame Library. Access to the library is available via Winston Avenue from York Road.
In addition to the panel discussions, members of the following companies are currently scheduled to come to campus to interact with students or present in class during Outside In week: American Technology Corporation, System Source, A People United, U.S. Army, Sogeti, General Physics, MindGrub Technologies LLC, and Black & Decker.
