Officials at Loyola University Maryland are monitoring the progress of Hurricane Earl closely. While the storm is not expected to have a significant impact on the greater Baltimore area, regions to the north and east, home to many Loyola students, may be more seriously affected. At this time, the University’s move-in and orientation activities from Friday, Sept. 3 – Sunday, Sept. 5, are expected to continue as scheduled, with classes beginning on Tuesday, Sept. 7.

Students and families traveling to campus during this period are encouraged to monitor conditions in their region and along travel routes carefully. Early move-ins not previously scheduled cannot be accommodated. First-year students unable to arrive on campus Sept. 3 can move in at any time later in the weekend, and will not be penalized for missing any orientation activities.

Any changes to the University’s scheduled events and activities will be announced at www.loyola.edu.
