Library Drawing

Preparing Tomorrow has reached $93 million - a new campaign milestone, as efforts continue to fully fund several campaign priorities, with the Loyola/Notre Dame Library chief among those.

The Library will be a hub of 21st century intellectual life at Loyola. A $19.6 million plan provides for dramatic renovation and expansion of the existing interior.

The renovated Loyola/Notre Dame Library will feature:

  • 100,000-square-foot interior
  • Interactive study and instructional spaces
  • Exhibition area and curatorial space for special collections
  • Expanded stack areas for humanities print collection
  • CafĂ© fully wired for voice, data and video
  • Five high-tech seminar rooms
  • Digital studio for collaborative student and faculty projects
  • Media center with 96-seat auditorium
  • 24-seat, fully wired bibliographic classroom

Loyola, the College of Notre Dame of Maryland and the state of Maryland are each contributing toward the cost of the project.
