Scholarship Support Financial aid is a critical component in recruiting a diverse and talented student body and creating a College Community where every student is prepared to achieve success and find meaning in an increasingly complex global world. Loyola’s commitment to meet the demonstrated financial needs of all qualified students admitted to the College has required greater resources in recent years. While funding from federal, state and private sources has become more limited, the number of Loyola students in need of financial aid has remained steady. Nearly two-thirds of the student body receives some type of need- or merit-based aid. Increased income from the scholarship endowment allows Loyola to compete nationally for top students, meet crucial diversity strategies, and reduce the strain on the College’s operating budget. Offering our students every opportunity they need to succeed – including financial aid to help cover the costs of their education – remains the most crucial component of Loyola’s mission.
