Alumni Campaign Areas of Special Interest The Preparing Tomorrow campaign addressed a wide variety of needs for the College, including facilities, endowment, programmatic support and the Evergreen Fund. While the campaign has reached $93 million - a new campaign milestone, the Alumni Campaign continues to rally support for two remaining campaign priorities - the construction of the Intercollegiate Athletics Complex and the expansion and renovation of the Loyola/Notre Dame Library. Intercollegiate Athletics Complex While Loyola competes successfully at the top NCAA Division I level, it has done so without the benefit of a top-flight training facility. The planned Intercollegiate Athletic Complex promises to strengthen Loyola’s continued ascent in intercollegiate athletics, and to enhance the pride and recognition this success brings. The complex will provide full-scale spectator seating and will allow alumni and the community increased access to Loyola College and its athletic teams. It will also enable the College to host higher profile NCAA tournament contests. Additionally, its completion will open up the nearly four acres of space now occupied by Diane Geppi-Aikens Field for future development of the Evergreen Campus.
Some planned features of the new facility include: - A 6,000 seat, four-level grandstand
- Natural grass home field with a synthetic base
- NCAA-regulation running track
- State-of-the-art athlete health and training center

Preparing Tomorrow will support a library that is a hub of 21st century intellectual life at Loyola. A $19.6 million plan provides for dramatic renovation and a 25,000-square-foot expansion. The library renovation and expansion promises not only to enhance intellectual life, but it will also provide for increased community meeting space, strengthening the already rich sense of community present on The Evergreen Campus.
Some features of the renovated Loyola/Notre Dame Library will include:
- 100,000-square-foot interior
- Interactive study and instructional spaces
- Five high-tech seminar rooms
- Digital studio for collaborative student and faculty projects
Loyola and the College of Notre Dame of Maryland are each responsible for raising $6 million toward the costs, with an additional $6 million coming from the State of Maryland as part of its facility funding for higher education.
