Army Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC)
Interested in serving your country and gaining a major edge in your future career opportunities? Loyola University Maryland's Army Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) program could be a great option for you. ROTC is ideal for students with strong leadership qualities and who are interested in developing the leadership skills that will benefit them in Army service and in the private sector.
Scholarships worth full tuition and fees or room and board and monthly stipends ($300-$500) are available to those who qualify and join the organization. Loyola also provides a ROTC grant that covers the room cost to scholarship winners in the National High School program. Simultaneous membership programs with the Maryland National Guard and Reserve organizations are also available.
When you graduate, you'll be commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Army. Most graduates fulfill their service obligation in active duty Army, while select graduates complete their requirement in the U.S. Army Reserves of National Guard while pursuing a civilian career.
Instructors are highly qualified officers and non-commissioned officers each with 10-22 years of experience. All are specially selected for ROTC duty and are graduates of professional military schooling. Their focus remains the core institutional values predicted by strong leadership characteristics, traits and behaviors.
