Relay For Life
Relay for Life, an annual fundraiser for the American Cancer Society, has
become one of Loyola's best-supported events. Each spring, more than 100 teams
pack Reitz Arena for a 12-hour walk-a-thon. Throughout the night, participants
enjoy great food, live music and interactive games like sumo wrestling.
For the past few years, Loyola's raised the most money per-capita of any
college or university in the country. Keep your eyes open for the purple
posters, balloons and lights next spring, and get ready to lend your support to
this important cause. In the days leading up to the event, you'll have a chance
to enter raffles, win prizes for spirit, and might even get to take aim at a
campus police officer in a pie-throwing contest.
