Mike Malone

The head coach of the Denver Nuggets (NBA) is the first Loyola graduate to lead a professional team. Mike, who played forward for the Greyhounds from 1989-93, started coaching at the collegiate level after college. He began coaching professional teams first an assistant coach for the Cleveland Cavaliers. He worked with the New Orleans Hornets and the Golden State Warriors before he became head coach of the Sacramento Kings in 2013; he has been the head coach of Denver since 2015.
