- Class of 2018
- Major, Minor Communication, Natural Sciences
When Fran first arrived at Loyola, she wanted to be a biology major. It was through an internship with Campus Ministry during her sophomore year, where she worked as a graphic designer and photographer, that she found her academic focus. "My internship challenged me creatively and it brought me so much joy, which led me to change my major to communications with a digital media focus," says Fran, who is minoring in the natural sciences. As an Evergreen, Fran mentors first-year students and supports their transition to Loyola, a role she loves. She plans to apply to dental school in the future and hopes to become an orthodontist.

I didn’t know much before about Jesuit education, but after three (almost four) years of it, I can’t imagine my life without it. The instilled Jesuit values have become a part of my life. I know I will bring this mindset into the next steps in my life, beyond Loyola. I now walk in life more grateful, more hopeful, and more inspired to not just be more, but to do more, too.
