Financing your Master's in Computer Science or Software Engineering

Tuition for the 2014-2015 academic year is $850 per credit, or $2,550 per course.

The Graduate Programs in Computer Science and Software Engineering can be financed in various ways.

  • Many students receive full or partial reimbursement from their employers. See your employer's Human Resources representative for details.

  • Loyola offers a Graduate Payment Plan that allows you to make payments in installments over the semester. In the past, students have often waited until receiving employer reimbursement before registering for the subsequent semester. Now you can register earlier, which we encourage, making a smaller initial payment.

  • Loyola offers a limited number of graduate assistantships within the Computer Science Department and a greater number in other departments.

  • The Federal Government and other sources offer Loan Programs at low or no interest.

  • Other graduate financial aid options are discussed at Loyola's Graduate Financial Aid Pages.

  • SMART Scholarships, very generous, including post-graduate career opportunities and summer internship opportunities, from the American Society for Engineering Education.

  • National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate Fellowships (NDSEG) provide generous grants for U.S. citizens who wish to pursue a Ph.D. after their master's program and agree to work in the Defense or Intelligence sectors upon completion.

  • Many students are self-financed. Chances are good that your tuition and other costs are tax deductible. See your accountant to determine eligibility. For questions regarding tuition payment, or to make an online payment, visit Loyola's Financial Services Page.
