Fowl LecturingWelcome to Loyola University Maryland's graduate programs in theological studies.

Although two of the newest graduate programs at Loyola University Maryland, the Master of Theological Studies and Certificate in Theology and Ministry thoroughly embody the University's mission, encapsulated by the Jesuit motto ad maioram dei gloriam. Located in Loyola's Theology department, one of the oldest departments at the University, the programs are staffed by a world-class faculty and offers a unique array of courses and opportunities. These programs arise out of our shared participation in joys and rigors of theological study in a thoroughly collegial atmosphere. We want to help form future generations of theologians through a program of study that covers Scripture, historical and systematic theology, comparative theology and ethics. Rather than treating these as isolated areas of technical expertise, we see each of these areas as crucial elements of an integrated theological vision. Our aim is that whether our students go on to work in the academy, churches or any other realm of society, they will be equipped to think and respond theologically with depth, precision and charity.

I invite you to learn more by exploring our program website and contacting our Director of Program Operations, Dan McClain, to schedule a campus visit and answer any questions you have.
