Loyola's writing department offers a major and a minor. Those who wish to pursue writing studies have the following three options:

The department also offers invitation-only seminar courses where students work in small classes to engage with and write about intellectually challenging texts from a range of genres - nonfiction prose, persuasion, creative writing, and others.
