Alumni Memorial Chapel & Cohn Hall (1950Photos
Like medieval churches, the Chapel is cruciform in plan with long nave, transepts to either side, and choir containing altar.  Nave included two side aisles formed by columns and arches supporting clerestory windows.  The Chapel has elaborate program of stained glass windows featuring apparitions of the BVM and Jesuit martyrs.  Like an English parish church it may be entered from side porches as well as central door.

Built as late-medieval or Tudor house rather than academic building it has cheerfully varied roofline of gables and turrets, asymmetrical arrangement, and some hints of classical revival in architecture (fluted columns).
