Time Management

College students have a lot to balance: classes, extracurricular activities, study time, work, social events, etc.  In order to stay on top and stay balanced they must implement effective time management skills:

1.  Use your time wisely. 

2.  Plan your time.

3.  Use a scheduling system:

  • Semester Schedule
  • Weekly Schedule
  • Daily Schedule

4.  Schedule your internet and email time.

5.  Use a checklist or project management system:

  • Planner
  • Email reminders
  • Cell phone/voice mail reminders
  • Pad and pen
  • Black Board

6.  Write things down.

7.  Set times to accomplish tasks, and stick to your time limits.

8.  Plan ahead.
