HP Tablet PCs: Technology Integration The ability to write directly on electronic presentation media using a stylus is a key feature of the Tablet PCs. Each instructor is learning how to best leverage this feature to support their own teaching style, but adding to and highlighting PowerPoint slides is one way that this has been used with positive results. Some students have also found the stylus very useful for drawing with CAD software (Autodesk Inventor). The Tablet PCs are connected to a server via a wireless network that allows access to license keys and the Web. Classroom management and monitoring software is also being used used. Students use the Tablets on problem-solving exercises, and the instructor monitors their activities in real time to identify misconceptions and provide immediate help with trouble spots.
