Art History News Faculty News Student News Alumni News Dr. Nygren will be presenting a paper on a work by Savoldo at the RSA Conference in March. Book reviews by Dr. Nygren appeared in the Spring 2011 and Fall 2011 issues of Renaissance Quarterly. Dr. Nygren's review of an exhibition of illustrated lives of female saints was published in the Winter 2011 SHARPNews, the newsletter of the Society for the History of Authorship, Reading & Publishing. Dr. Nygren co-chaired a session for undergraduate research at the SECAC Conference Fall 2011. He also presented a paper, "Learning to Argue: A Writing Exercise in Context," in a pedagogical session at the same conference. Dr. Nygren's article, “Cipresso or Tronco? Filippo Lippi's Beffa for the Nuns of Le Murate" appeared in the Fall 2010 issue of Source: Notes in the History of Art. Dr. Nygren's article, "Prefering to Frequent the Doors of Churches: Iconography, Observance, and Viewer Involvement in a Predella Panel by Fra Angelico," appeared in the 2009 volume of the SECAC Review. Dr. Bonnell was a contributing editor for the exhibition catalog Man Ray, African Art and the Modernist Lens by Wendy Grossman (University of Minnesota Press, 2009). Molly Cox ('12) received a stipend from the Humanities Center to help support her summer internship in the Registrar's office in the Walters Museum where she will be working on cataloging a collection of Russian enamels. This internship was a continuation of an internship from Fall 2010. Katie Fow ('12) has been and is interning in the Office of Governement and Foundation Relations at the Walters Museum. Lily Sehn ('12 )works in the Family Programs office in at the Walters Museum. Lily Sehn ('12) presented her paper, "Lilian Westcott Hale’s Home Lessons: Challenging Vermeer and Reaching for the Globe and the Vote," in an undergraduate session at Southeastern College Art Conference in October. During the summer of 2010 Colleen Grant ('11) interned in the department of Collections Management and Archives in the Curator's Office of the Supreme Court of the United States. Lily Sehn ('12) worked as an intern in the Office of the Patrons of the Arts at the Vatican during summer 2010. The Office of the Patron of the Arts works to secure additional funding for the restoration and display of works in the Vatican Museums. Her internship is profiled in Loyola Magazine. Elizabeth Berry ('12) was a communications intern at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts in Richmond, VA in the summer of 2010. Nora Kearney ('13) interned at the Burchfield Penny Art Center and the Albright-Knox Gallery in Buffalo, NY during the summer of 2010. Colleen Grant ('11) has begun her studies in the Museum Studies Masters Program at George Washington University. Colleen Grant ('11) was inducted into the Loyola chapter of the Phi Beta Kappa Society. Alex Fricchione ('11) is attending the M. Arch program at RISD. Nell Fortune Greeley ('10) is attending the Art History Master's program at George Washington University. Lauren Peck ('10), in spring 2011, had an internship in development at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Molly Muraca ('09) is attending the MA program in Art Therapy at George Washington University Mary Cameron '09 recently graduated from American University with a masters' degree in art history. Jessica Urban ('08, minor) is currently working in educational program development at the Cincinnati Museum of Art. Alyssa Porambo ('08) is the manager of public relations at the Baltimore Symphony. Ali Kozlakowski ('08) is a Senior Press Officer at the Metropolitan Museum in New York where she focuses on modern art and photography. She previously worked in PR at Tom Ford Beauty. Laura Klebanow ('08) works at the United States Holocaust Museum as a marketing liason. Peggy Sell ('07) is currently working as the special projects assistant for family programs in the education department at the Denver Art Museum. Kate Civitello ('07) has recently graduated from law school at George Washington University.
