Studio Arts News Faculty News Student News Alumni News On October 2 Janet Maher, Associate Professor in Fine Arts (Studio Art), delivered a talk at the Naugatuck Connecticut Historical Society about her current work in progress. Professor Maher has been doing extensive research over the last several years and using photography and ephemera as aids to discover the story of the first immigrant Irish Catholic community in this small town in New Haven County. Paintings by Professor Mary Beth Akre were on display in a three-person exhibition, Images from the Land, in the Gormley Gallery of the College of Notre Dame from 8-30-11/8. Body Work: Recent Painting Carol Miller Frost will be at the Stevenson University Gallery from 10/5-11/21. Student news soon. Dan Corrigan ('09) is pursuing an M.F.A. in printmaking and book arts at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. The Baltimore Sun recently ran an article on an installation at the University of Maryland, Baltimore by Eileen Wold, a Loyola visual arts graduate. |
