Students from Baltimore's Polytechnic High School were invited to share in the experience
The contest was based on Galileo's experiments with falling bodies (Leaning Tower of Pisa)
Contest Rules: device had to be homemade; less than 2.2 lbs.; cost of materials less than $20

A select number of professors who teach in the Alpha Program judged the students on intellectual excellence, diversity, critical understanding and other undergraduate learning aims.
