Exchange Student Orientation

Welcome Loyola Exchange Students!

Exchange students are asked to arrive on campus 3-5 days prior to start of classes, so that they can participate in Loyola's Exchange Student Orientation. Specific dates are included on our academic calendar for international exchange students, and are included with our admissions packets sent out prior to the semester. Upon arrival, students are picked up from the airport and brought to their on-campus housing. During orientation, exchange students are given a tour of the campus and its facilities, are given the opportunity to explore the city. Students are also introduced to banking, campus housing, immigration, and other relevant personnel and information.

On the final day, students attend a dinner where they are introduced to their student and family/faculty hosts who will host them for the semester or year.  The dinner gives them an opportunity to meet and learn about one another.

Throughout this orientation, most meals are covered. Exchange students will be billed $150 for this orientation. Students are sent further details upon acceptance as a visiting student to Loyola University Maryland.
