Thank you for your interest in study abroad with Loyola University Maryland!

Note: By submitting this application it is assumed that you have gathered information about the program in which you are intersted, have taken all of the necessary steps to prepare to apply, and understand the requirements for acceptance (i.e., attended information sessions, met with academic advisor(s) and study abroad advisor(s), read the informational materials provided on OIP website and program summaries, etc.).

Minimum Requirements for Acceptance

  • Students with a CQPA (cumulative GPA) of 2.75 are eligible to study abroad for the semester or year.  Please note that some programs require a 3.0 CQPA. 
  • Students that are interested in study abroad for the semester or year are encouraged to apply by December 1, 2011, even if they do not meet the 2.75 CQPA minimum.  Students that do not meet the 2.75 minimum at the time of application will be notified to contact our office after May 30, 2012 to be re-considered for study abroad in Spring 2013.
  • Students must be able to find courses that will fit their Loyola program and allow a full time course load while abroad.
  • Students that have a history of serious disciplinary problems or are on disciplinary probation with Loyola are not eligible for study abroad.

Application Deadlines

Students must apply by 5:00pm on December 1st of their sophomore year in order to study abroad in the spring or fall of their junior year.
