Loyola Programs

Participating in a Loyola Program affords students the opportunity to study abroad while maintaining their Loyola student status.  Students typically pay tuition, room, and fees to Loyola.  In return students receive a study abroad package that covers their tuition, room, fees, airfare, and other amenities which vary depending upon the costs in the country of study.  All scholarships transfer to the program and all grades and credits will appear on the Loyola transcript.  All study abroad applications bust be submitted by December 1 of a student's sophomore year.

Loyola Exchanges

Exchanges allow students to maintain their Loyola status while abroad.  Students pay tuition to Loyola, but pay room and board to the host university. All scholarships and financial aid (except work-study) transfer to the host university. For every student that goes abroad, an international student comes to Loyola.  Exchange programs may be language based and those that are not have a language requirement.  All grades and credits received in exchanges will appear on the Loyola transcript.  Exchange program applications are due December 1 for the Fall and Spring.

Affiliations

Affiliations are connections that Loyola has with other university programs.  Students have the benefit of attending an established program while having their grades and credits transfer to Loyola.  Certain federal and state aid can be used to study abroad with affiliations.  However, institutionally controlled aid (e.g., presidential scholarships) cannot be used on an affiliate program.  The application deadline is December 1 for the Fall and Spring.
