2016-2017 Merit-Based Scholarships

Merit-Based scholarships are awarded to M.A. and M.S. students based on prior academic excellence.

Awards disbursed evenly between spring 2017, fall 2017, and spring 2018, $2,000 per semester.

M.A. in Spiritual
and Pastoral Care

5 merit-based scholarships  $4,500
Awards disbursed evenly between spring 2017, fall 2017, and spring 2018, $1,500 per semester.

2016-2017 Ignatius Grants

Grants are awarded to M.A. and M.S. students based on dedication to the Jesuit mission and potential for success in the program.

2016-2017 Fellowships

Fellowships are awarded to Ph.D. and M.S./Ph.D. students based on prior academic excellence.

 Ph.D. 3 Fellowships  $18,900 Awards disbursed evenly between fall 2016, spring 2017, fall 2017, spring 2018, fall 2018, spring 2019, $3,150 per semester.
 M.S. / Ph.D. 2 Fellowships  $6,900 Awards disbursed evenly between fall 2016, spring 2017, fall 2017, spring 2018, fall 2018, spring 2019, $1,150 per semester.

Fellowships are awarded to Ph.D. and M.S./Ph.D. students who begin their enrollment in the fall.

Graduate students who receive either a merit-based scholarship or an Ignatius Grant must maintain half-time enrollment, 6 credits each for the fall and spring semesters and maintain a minimum GPA of at least a 3.00. Doctoral students who receive a fellowship must maintain full-time enrollment, 9 credits each for the fall and spring semesters and maintain a minimum GPA of 3.00.

How to Apply

All applicants are considered for fellowships, merit-based scholarships and Ignatius Grants. A separate application is not required. Please submit completed program application, and all supplemental documents, to the Office of Graduate Admission by the application deadline of November 1, 2016 to be considered.

Award Notification

Award recipients will be notified no later than December 1, 2016.
