Are you looking for funding to support your research or academic project? This page provides an overview of ways to identify possible sources of support for your project. Customized Funding Searches The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP) is happy to provide help with identifying potential funding opportunities for faculty projects. Based upon a description of your research interests, we will develop a list of suitable funding sources. Contact us anytime to discuss your research and project ideas. Funding Databases ORSP subscribes to a database that is specifically designed to identify funding sources for academic research. This database is available from any campus computer. - COS covers all academic disciplines. It contains over 22,000 records and close to 400,000 funding opportunities.
Grant and Fellowship Listings Below are links to lists of grants and fellowships that support academic research. They provide a good overview of the funding sources available to support scholarly work. Although the lists are grouped by category, we suggest that you consider consulting several of them when seeking potential funding sources for your project. A general note: Deadlines are subject to change. Although we check these opportunities periodically for updates, faculty should check the funding organization’s website to verify the most current program information.
New Investigator Grant Program This Loyola-sponsored program seeks to encourage faculty to write grants to outside agencies. It provides a stipend to faculty members who have not received a grant in the past. Loyola Sponsored Programs Loyola supports a number of funding opportunities to support research. In many cases the development of a successful proposal to one of these programs can be an initial step to developing a proposal to a funding agency to continue or expand a research project. Loyola’s Center for the Humanities also offers a number of programs that support humanities-based programs and projects. |
