| Kolvenbach Programs A strong commitment to service is central to Loyola's mission as a university. One way that this is demonstrated is through an initiative that provides support for research and scholarly work in connection with Jesuit values. Inspired by an October 2000 address by Rev. Peter Hans Kolvenbach, S.J., Loyola supports two programs designed to foster socially-engaged research: the Kolvenbach Fellows Program and the Kolvenbach Summer Research Grant Program.
