Congratulations to Elizabeth J. Kennedy the 42nd Harry W. Rodgers, III, Distinguished Teacher of the Year

Deans' Symposium

The 15th annual Deans' Symposium will be held on Maryland Day, Friday, March 23 from 3:30 - 5 p.m.

The Deans’ Symposium spotlights the work of outstanding faculty in the areas of teaching, research and service.  Beginning with 2012 Deans’ Symposium, the format will be adjusted, and only two speakers will be invited each year to present. Faculty will be chosen from each of the major curricular areas on a rotating basis, allowing faculty from all areas of the University to have the opportunity to present on a more regular basis.

This year’s speakers are: Rachel Grover, Ph.D., associate professor of psychology and Graham McAleer, D.Phil., professor of philosophy.  During the Symposium the winners of The Harry W. Rodgers, III, Distinguished Teacher of the Year Award and the Faculty Award for Excellence in Service-Learning and Engaged Scholarship also are announced at the event.  The Symposium is scheduled to take place in the Fourth Floor Program Room on Friday, March 23th from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m.  A reception will follow.
