Research Interests and Activities:  Dr. Vann's teaching and research interests focus on the intersection of race, class, and gender, sexuality, and disability. Her most recent work is in two areas: the experience of identity in post-communist Czech society, and the impact of college coursework on incarcerated women.

Her primary area of focus is Israel and the occupied Palestinian territories, although her interests extend more generally to societies in or emerging from protracted conflict.
