Praxis

ASHA requires that all applicants for the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) submit a passing score on the Praxis II; Subject Assessments Test. While this is not a graduation requirement for the master's program in Speech-Language Pathology, former students must submit the passing score to the department when completed.

Below are resources available for Praxis preparation:

Information from ASHA (start here): http://www.asha.org/certification/praxis/preparation/

Information from ETS about registration (test 5331): http://www.ets.org/praxis/register/

Praxis practice materials are also available upon request from the Graduate Program Director.

Your official score report will be available online via your My Praxis® account on the score release date. (See ETS website for exact dates.) This score report is downloadable as a PDF. In addition, your scores will also be sent to up to four institutions/agencies you selected during the registration process. We recommend that you send your scores to ASHA and the licensure board for the state(s) in which you intend to work.  You may select Loyola as a recipient or you may provide Loyola a copy of the downloadable PDF, which should be sent to the Graduate Program Director.

Additionally, the Praxis test in Speech-Language Pathology is administered during a specific testing window and scores will be available 15–16 business days after testing window closes (regardless of the specific day on which you tested within that window).
