Janet McDonell is a primary trainer for the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI). Janet holds Primary, Elementary, and Special Education diplomas from AMI. She also has a B.A. in Comparative Literature from the University of Wisconsin and an M.Ed. from Loyola University Maryland. Before training teachers, Janet had 20 years of teaching and administrative experience in Montessori schools serving children of widely varying backgrounds. Janet has served on the AMI Training Group, the AMI/USA Board of Directors, and currently serves on the AMI Consultation Committee. She lectures, examines, consults, and offers workshops around the world.

Jennifer ShieldsJennifer Shields

Jennifer Shields is a primary trainer for AMI. She holds both the Primary and Assistants to Infancy diplomas from AMI. She earned a B.A. in English Literature from Georgetown University and an M.Ed. from Cleveland State University. She has worked in Montessori schools as a teacher, assistant, and administrator. She is an examiner and consultant for AMI and presents at workshops and conferences around the country.

Jamie Rue is an AMI trainer at the elementary level. Jamie has a B.A. in English and Religion from Augustana College in South Dakota and an M.Ed. from Loyola University Maryland. She holds AMI Primary and Elementary diplomas. In over ten years of working in Montessori schools, Jamie has guided 6-9, 9-12, and 6-12 classes, served in administration, and been an assistant. Jamie is a past vice-chair/treasurer of the AMI Elementary Alumni Association and currently serves on the Board of Directors of AMI/USA. Jamie presents at workshops and conferences around the world.

Carol HicksCarol Hicks

Carol Hicks is an elementary trainer for AMI. Carol holds Primary and Elementary diplomas from AMI. She also has a B.A. in History from Marquette University Wisconsin and an M.Ed. from Loyola University Maryland. Carol has 25 years of experience in teaching and administrating at the elementary level in both public and private Montessori schools. She served on the board of the Elementary Alumni Association. Carol has directed courses in Kansas City and Toronto as well as at WMI.  She has given workshops around the world, is an examiner and consultant for AMI, and serves on the AMI Scientific Pedagogy Group.
