Ron Tanner won a 2009 Gertrude Press chapbook contest for his story "Wheels." The chapbook will be published in December 2009. 

Peggy O’Neill's co-edited collection, Assessing Writing: A Critical Sourcebook, was recently published by Bedford St. Martin’s and NCTE. The text includes articles on the history, theory, and practice of writing assessment.

Cindy Moore and Peggy O'Neill published A Guide to College Writing Assessment with Utah State University Press in March 2009.
 
Brian Murray's The Bedside, Bathtub and Armchair Companion to Dickens is now available from Continuum Press.

Lia Purpura won the 2009 Towson University Prize for Literature for her collection of essays On Looking, published by Sarabande Books in 2006.
 
Jane Satterfield's book Daughters of Empire appeared in Spring 2009 from Demeter Press.
