This year, we are proud to continue to offer AlcoholEdu as part of our commitment to fostering a healthy and safe campus community. This online education course, designed by a team of experts, is based on the latest scientific research. In addition to educational components of the course, AlcoholEdu includes a data collection component that will facilitate our ongoing assessment of the needs of our campus community, allowing us to keep our educational programs and services current and effective. Student Leaders, Faculty, Administrators, Staff, and Parents wishing to take AlcoholEdu may contact ADESS at 410.617.2928 for instructions and the appropriate Login ID code.
First-Year students can obtain instructions and the Login ID code by contacting ADESS at 410.617.2928 or ADESS@loyola.edu. Important Dates: Wednesday, July 18, 2007 – Students may register and begin AlcoholEdu. Wednesday, August 15, 2007 – Deadline to complete the first portion of AlcoholEdu (score of 70% or higher). Remember, if you do not complete the first portion, you will not be allowed to move in to your residence hall when you arrive on campus on August 31, 2007.
Sunday, October 14, 2007 – Deadline to complete the second portion of the course. You will be invited to complete the course 60 days after you complete the first portion. If you are having difficulty viewing AlcoholEdu, here are some suggestions: Try using a different computer. Remember to bring headphones for the audio part of the course if you are using a campus computer lab. Try a different time of day (during non-peak campus network hours). Do not run other applications or music in the background while viewing the course. Choose the "Audio Only" version of the course on the AlcoholEdu Media Settings Page if you are still having difficulty viewing the video clips. The AlcoholEdu Online Technical Support Center is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Simply click on the "Help" button located in the upper right-hand corner of every AlcoholEdu screen. You do not need to be logged into the course to acces the Help Site.
Some people may have difficulty with AlcoholEdu because the site uses cookies and the user's computer may not accept the cookies. So, the solution for this problem is: 1. Open Internet Explorer 2. Go to the Tools Menu 3. Select Internet Options 4. Click on the Privacy Tab on the top of the page 5. Click on the Sites button 6. Type alcoholedu.com in the box that says address of web site 7. Click on the Allow button 8. Click on the Ok button to close out of all settings windows and to save settings. |
