Jan Edward Williams, MS, JD, LCADC Director jwilliams@loyola.edu
In addition to his law degree, Jan has a master of science degree in pastoral counseling and is a licensed clinical alcohol and drug counselor. He has personal and professional experience to aid him in helping students with alcohol and other drug problems. He is in recovery himself, with 34 years of continuous sobriety, and has been working in the drug and alcohol field for 32 years. Jan has been Director of Loyola's Alcohol and Drug Education and Support Services for 22 years. He also teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses in substance abuse for the Psychology Department. Jan has five children, including a daughter and a son who both graduated from Loyola, and another who is a senior at Loyola. His passion for helping others has led to creating a website through which he offers, as a private endeavor, online services to those with drug or alcohol concerns: AlcoholDrugSOS Services. He also enjoys spending time with his granddaughter, Faith, and two grandsons, Tommy and Sean. Allie Pearlman Sax, LGSW Associate Director aapearlmansax@loyola.edu Allie has been a Licensed Social Worker working in the Baltimore area since 2004. Her experience includes working at an outpatient drug and alcohol treatment center, consultant to McDaniel College's Safe Schools Program, and Executive Director and Case Manager of the Baltimore Interfaith Hospitality Network. Allie joined ADESS in 2008. She provides counseling services, educational interventions, and campus AOD prevention. She also works closely with the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention Team (ADAPT). Allie and her husband, who also works at Loyola, have one young child. Allie really enjoys spending time with her family, exploring photography, and travelling. Cindy Parcover, MS Ed, LCPC, NCC Assistant Director cparcover@loyola.edu Cindy has been a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor for 12 years and has been Assistant Director of ADESS since 1999. She focuses on strategic prevention efforts within the Student Development Division, specifically the social norms initiative, “Strong Truths, Well Lived.” Cindy, who is also a certified aerobics instructor, has 3 young children. Cindy and her husband, who also works at LUM, spend their weekends having as much fun as possible with their children and can usually be found hiking, running or getting everyone ready for Monday.
