ADESS STAFF


Jan Edward Williams, MS, JD, LCADC

In addition to his law degree, Jan has a master of science degree in pastoral counseling and is a licensed clinical alcohol and drug counselor.  He has personal and professional experience to aid him in helping students with alcohol and other drug problems.  He is in recovery himself, with 30 years of continuous sobriety, and has been working in the drug and alcohol field for 28 years.  Jan has been Director of Loyola's Alcohol and Drug Education and Support Services for 18 years.  He also teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses in substance abuse for the Psychology Department.  Jan has five children, including a daughter and a son who both graduated from Loyola, and another who is a freshman at Loyola Fall 2007.  Many of his weekends are spent playing with his granddaughter, Faith, and grandson, Tommy.

Kelli Larson, MS, LCPC

Kelli worked at Sheppard Pratt Hospital and St. Joseph Medical Center before joining ADESS in 2005. She helps Jan Williams with providing counseling services to students and is responsible for the department's educational programs. She also works closely with the Choice Alcohol and Drug Peer Education Team (CADETs). 

Cindy Parcover, MS Ed, LCPC, NCC

Cindy has been a substance abuse counselor for 8 years and has been an Assistant Director at ADESS for 5 years.  She focuses on strategic prevention efforts within the Student Development Division and also works with the peer educators.  Cindy, who is a certified aerobics instructor, can also be found teaching aerobics at the Fitness and Aquatic Center.  She spends her spare time reading, hiking, running, working on her 65 year-old house and hanging out with her family.

Becky Cassell

 Becky began in June 2005. She has close ties to Loyola College as she is currently a senior working on an undergraduate degree.  Her major is Comparative Cultural and Literary Studies, with the comparative focus on France and francophone African countries.  She also has a seven year old son in first grade at Catholic Community School and together they enjoy swimming, exploring Baltimore, and reading, and bike riding.
