ACCESSIBILITY FOR EVENTS IN THE ANDREW WHITE STUDENT CENTER AND THE DECHIARO COLLEGE CENTER

Audio-Described Performances
Audio-description will be provided upon request for visitors who are blind or have low vision. Please call (410) 617-2062 two weeks prior to the event.

Large Print and Braille
Large-print handouts are available for visitors who are blind or have low vision for events. Please call (410) 617-2062 at least 72 hours before the event to request this information.

Assistive Listening Devices
Assistive listening devices are available for events. Please notify Events Services at events@loyola.edu or call (410) 617-5077 if you would like to reserve a headset in advance. Request should be made one week prior to the event.

Headsets may be used with or without a hearing aid and are distributed free of charge (subject to availability). Users will be asked to leave an ID and their phone numbers when they pick up their headsets. These will be returned when the headset is returned at the end of the performance.

Sign Language Interpretation
Sign language-interpretation is available on request. Please call (410) 617-2062 or e-mail mwiedefeld@loyola.edu two weeks prior to the event to request interpreters.

Captioned Performances
Captioning is available upon request for guest who are deaf or hard of hearing, and will be provided based on the availability of a qualified stenographer. Please call (410) 617-2062 or e-mail mwiedefeld@loyola.edu two weeks prior to the event to request captioning.
 

Parking
Parking spaces for persons with disabilities are available in the Jenkins lot or the York Road lot. These spaces are for vehicles bearing handicapped parking placards or license plates, and are available on a first-come basis. The Jenkins lot charges an hourly-fee and the York Road lot is free. Shuttle services are available from York Road, and there is a wheelchair lift on one shuttle. For information on the shuttle service, call the Parking and Transportation Office at (410) 617-5552, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
 
Accessible Entrances
The entrances to the Andrew White Student Center and the DeChiaro College Center from the Jenkins Parking lot are accessible from the main pedestrian walkway. Automatic doors are located off the walkway, going toward Millbrook Road and before Boulder Garden Cafe. There is another set of automatic doors at the corner of Millbrook Lane and Ennis Parallel, which is where the shuttle stops.

There is one centrally located elevator, which provide access to Reitz Arena and McGuire Hall. There is another elevator that can be used to get to McGuire Hall, which is near the automatic doors near Boulder Garden Café.
 

Accessible Seating
Loyola has accessible seating for people with disabilities and their companions at all events and is committed to providing dispersed seating. Please contact events@loyola.edu if you have questions about seating for a particular event.

Accessible Restrooms
Wheelchair accessible restrooms are located in Boulder Garden Café on the first floor and to the left of the Bookstore on the second floor.
