Who is eligible? You must be a current undergraduate student at Loyola to obtain summer housing. You must also be enrolled in a summer course through Loyola to be eligible for housing. Students who have internships are eligible for summer housing but the internship must be for credit through Loyola. Exceptions to these guidelines include students who are employed by an on-campus office. Contact Student Life if you have questions about eligibility. Cost: $119 per week plus $3 per week for phone/cable. How do I pay for summer housing? In order to receive keys for your summer assignment, you must present a stamped bill of payment from SAS at check-in. After Student Life receives your application, you will receive a bill to take to SAS for payment. This should be complete prior to check-in on May 29th, 2007. Can I stay on campus for both sessions of summer school? Students must be enrolled in a summer course each session to stay in summer housing. If you are not enrolled for a session, you cannot live on campus for that session. If you drop all courses in a session, you will be required to move out of summer housing. When can I move into my summer school assignment? Summer school students are housed in Campion Hall. Summer school check-in will take place in the Campion Tower Desk from 10 AM to 5 PM on May 29th. Students unable to make that time should contact the Office of Student Life at x5081 prior to May 29th. You will be required to hand in your 06-07 room keys no later than 4:00 PM on May 30th.. Do I have to move home first and move everything back for summer school? If you or your belongings are staying in your current room assignment until summer school check-in, you must fill out a contract extension in the Office of Student Life by Friday April 20th, 4:00 PM. If we require you to move prior to May 29th due to the summer conference schedule, you will be notified by the Office of Student Life and arrangements will be made to do so. What if my summer job is paying for housing? All housing arrangements for students employed by offices who are paying for summer housing will be made between the employing office and the Office of Student Life. Students do not have to fill out an application unless they are paying for part of the cost. What do we do to move into our Fall assignment? Students who are on campus for summer session II will be moved to their Fall room assignments on or about August 10th. Students who will not be living on campus in the Fall will be expected to move out of housing no later than August 10th. How do I apply? You can obtain a summer housing application through this link.
