Theft!  Fire!
What would you do if all your personal possessions - computers, stereo, TV., calculator, typewriter, clothing, books, camera, etc. were stolen or destroyed by fire? It has happened to many college and university students, and it could happen to you. It makes sense for you to take stock of what you have and prepare to prevent its loss.

Student Personal Property Plan ®
National Student Services, Inc. has designed a full-services, low-cost program to specifically protect the personal property of students, faculty and staff living in residence halls, fraternity or sorority houses, off-campus apartments or houses. National Student Services, Inc. has been providing insurance programs to thousands of students across the country since 1971.

Losses Covered
We will cover loss or damage, occurring during the policy period, to personal property, which you own or have leased, including items entrusted to you, "worldwide," except as excluded in the "Property Not Covered" and "Special Provisions" sections. There is no coverage for mysterious disappearance (unless stolen), mechanical or electrical breakdown, wear or tear, corrosion and rust, nuclear war or governmental seizure.

What about Coverage Under My Parent's Homeowners Policy?
If you have questions about your parent's homeowner's policy, show this brochure to your agent and ask for advice. Every year hundreds of insurance agents contact us for enrollment applications for their clients. These agents recommend our low $25 deductible coverage to these parents to be used for their students in colleges and universities. NSSI is always primary to the homeowner's coverage and can be used to cover parents' high deductibles.
