Incoming First-Year Student Move-In Information

Residence halls open for first-year students on Friday, September 2, 2011.  In an effort to provide a smooth and efficient check-in process and to prevent traffic and parking problems, Loyola University Maryland has made the decision to stagger check-in for the Residence Halls.  You will be expected to check-in to your assigned residence hall room during the designated time on schedule listed below.  You will not be permitted to move into your room prior to this designated time.  In addition, if you have not completed your Alcohol Edu online course you will not be given your keys until you have done so.  This is a 3 hour course.  Please review the attached check-in schedule and make all travel arrangements accordingly. Failure to check-in properly may result in a fine of no less than $50.00.

If, for some reason, you need to arrive later than 12:00 PM on this day, please call the Office of Student Life with this information at (410) 617-5081.  If you have decided not to attend Loyola University Maryland this fall, please notify us in writing as soon as possible, so that we may reassign your room and you do not get billed.

The check-in process will occur in the following locations:

          ·    Butler & Hammerman           Þ   Outside Butler & Hammerman or in Hammerman Lobby (rain location)

          ·    Flannery O’Connor Hall         Þ   Flannery O’Connor Hall Lobby

          ·    Hopkins Court                    Þ   Hopkins Court Lounge

          ·    Campion Tower                  Þ   Campion Garage

Please remember in order to retain your housing assignment your student tuition bill must be paid by the due date of August 18, 2010.  Failure to pay by the date will result in your assignment being cancelled and it will be immediately re-assigned to someone on the waitlist.  When this is done, your housing assignment cannot be reinstated.  If you have permission to arrive to campus early, prior to August 18th, your bill must be paid by your early move-in date.
