Move Week will occur as described below: Monday, February 4, 2008 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm Office of Student Life All rooms with current vacancies and those individuals wanting to make an even switch of rooms may participate during this phase. To register your move, at least one representative of the roommate group and the person being pulled-in, or the individuals wanting to switch places must be present. WITHIN AREA MOVES Wednesday, February 6, 2008from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm Office of Student Life All individuals wanting to move into a vacancy within their current residence hall may participate during this phase. Spaces will be assigned on a first come, first served basis. Space available will be posted by 5:00 pm on Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at your Assistant Director’s office. To register your move, please come to the Office of Student Life with at least one representative of the room into which you will move. CAMPUS MOVES Thursday, February 7, 2008 from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm and Friday, February 8, 2008 from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon Office of Student Life All individuals wanting to move into a vacancy in a different residence hall, and those who did not move within their residence hall on Wednesday may participate. Spaces will be assigned on a first come, first served basis. No preference will be given to those moving within their present residence hall during this phase. Space available will be posted by 8:00 pm Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at your Assistant Director's Office. To register your move, please come to the Office of Student Life with at least one representative of the room into which you will move. - It is your responsibility to meet the people in the room you wish to move into.
- All moves must be registered in the Office of Student Life during the time indicated.
- All moves are to be completed by Monday, February 11, 2008 at 12:00 noon. Failure to do so may result in a $50.00 fine.
A complete move includes: (1) Checking-out with your present RA, turning-in your keys, and signing your key card and room inspection form. (2) Checking-in with your new RA, picking-up your keys, and signing your key card and room inspection form. It is your responsibility to contact the appropriate RAs and/or Assistant Directors to assist in completing your move. First Year Students may move into any First Year Suites (Campion Floors 7-9, Lange Court 30-32), East Residence Hall, Hopkins Court, or Butler/Hammerman spaces only. Room must be occupied by all first year students. Questions about Move Week may be directed to your Assistant Director or the Office of Student Life at X5081. TO HELP MAKE YOUR MOVE A SMOOTH ONE: - Don’t wait until the last minute to tell roommates and other friends that you want to move.
- Talk now to your present roommates!!
- Talk to friends, RAs, or your Assistant Director to obtain information regarding current vacancies or possible swaps.
