Welcome to Resident Affairs Council (RAC)!!

h
Winner of the NRHH Student Organization of the Month in October of 2007!

The Resident Affairs Council (RAC) is a unique student-run organization that exists to improve the quality of life of Loyola students by offering programs based on students' interests, as well as promoting a safe, supportive and welcoming community. The RAC is nationally affiliated with the National Association of College and University Residence Halls (NACURH), which provides its leaders with opportunities to attend conferences and programs to further develop leadership skills and give fellow students the power to impact their own community.

Aside from being the fun and exciting group of people that we all are, the RAC of Loyola College is a creative and dynamic branch of the Student Government Association that deals with the residents of the College.  We address the problems, concerns and questions that resident students may have, along with representing the collective interests of Loyola’s resident students to the SGA, Administration, and the community at large.  In conjunction with these functions, the RAC provides social and educational events for individual residence halls and the college as a whole by organizing community building activities with other organizations on campus, and actively promoting diversity in activities and policies.  Such activities include RAC Week, Lil’ Sibs Weekend, and Exam Care Packages.

If you would like to become a part of RAC or learn more about it, please contact the student president of RAC, Jeannine Tondreau, at  jetondreau@loyola.edu or the RAC advisor, Assistant Director of Student Life, Lorrie Budd at x2918 or lbudd@loyola.edu.
