RAC WEEK 2009
Each year, the Resident Affairs Council (RAC) sponsors a week of events for the greater Loyola community. This year RAC week was Monday, October 19 through Saturday, October 24, and it encompassed a diverse set of programs which we hope you all enjoyed! Here's is what happened...
Monday, October 19: Monday Night Football 8:15-10pm Join your fellow football fans for FREE Bill Bateman's wings and other refreshments at TWO campus locations! Starting at 8 p.m., come to either Upper Primos or the Second Floor Programming Room in Flannery O'Connor. Join us for an 8:30 kick off as the 5-0 Denver Broncos travel to San Diego to take on the 2-2 Chargers. Tuesday, October 20: Policy Open Forum - 5pm Come chat with administrators who can answer your questions regarding your residential concerns. The Director of Student Life, the Associate Director of Student Life for Judicial Affairs, and the Director of Public Safety & Transportation have all been present at previous forums. The forum starts at 5:00 p.m. in the Flannery O'Connor 2nd Floor Programing Room. Refreshments will be served. Chips, salsa, guacamole, churros, and beverages for everyone! Wednesday, October 21: Duck-Pin Bowling - 8:30pm Grab a few friends and join us for a few games of Duck-Pin Bowling! Sign-ups will be at our tables in Boulder or Primos (see below for days and times). Only $5 will get you transportation there and back along with your lane. Departure for all those signed-up will occur at 8:15pm from Ennis Parallel behind Boulder. Thursday, October 22: Deal or No Deal? 8-9:30pm Check out RAC's version of Deal or No Deal? starting at 7:00 p.m. in Knott Hall B03. Students will each receive a raffle ticket upon entering. Students who sign up at the RAC tables prior to and during RAC Week will be on a VIP list and will double their chances of being contestants, as they will receive two tickets upon entering the program. Awesome prizes will be available to the top three contestants! FIRST PRIZE: Your choice of a Nintendo Wii or an iPod Touch! SECOND PRIZE: Your choice of an iPod Nano or a Digital Camera! THIRD PRIZE: A pair of Snowball Tickets!
Friday, October 23: Fell's Point Ghost Tour - 5:45pm Sign up in advance for this special event! You must register in advance at the RAC tables in Boulder or Primo's. Tickets are $10 each and include transportation to Fell's Point and back to campus. Departure time is 5:45 p.m. from Ennis Parallel (Behind Boulder) for a 7pm tour, and estimated return time is 9:00 p.m.
