RAC WEEK 2006
Each year the Resident Affairs Council (RAC) sponsors a week of events for the greater Loyola community. This year RAC week, October 16th-22nd, encompasses a diverse set of programs which we hope you all stop by and attend! After a week of mid-terms this may be just what you need! Here's what's happening...
Monday, October 16th: Monday Night Football - Chicago @ Arizona Join your fellow football fans for FREE pizza, wings, and refreshments at TWO campus locations! Come to either upper Primo's or the Reading room starting at 8pm!
Tuesday, October 17th: Halloween Costume & Decoration Shopping Hop on a FREE bus to a Halloween superstore in nearby Timonium! Don't wait until the last minute for the last costume on the shelf! The first 20 students will receive a $5 credit towards their purchase! Bus will leave behind Newman Towers (green awning) at 4pm arriving back to campus at 6pm.
Wednesday, October 18th: RAC & WLOY Volleyball Tournament & BBQ Are you dreading the end of warm weather? Come down to the Westside for one last BBQ and some volleyball in the new Newman court. Enjoy some FREE food and relax knowing mid-terms are over! Prizes will be given to the winners!
Thursday, October 19th: Open Mic Night Coffee House - 9pm-12am Stop by the Reading Room for some FREE desserts and Seattle's best coffee. Come prepared to be entertained by Loyola's finest talent! Students who sign up to showcase their talent will each receive a prize complements of RAC!
Friday, October 20th: Corn Maze - 7:30-10:30pm Looking for a fun and spooky way to celebrate the Halloween season? Bring your flashlight to this spectacular corn maze that spans over 8 acres...2 miles of trails! FREE transportation provided! Sign up in Student Activities. Saturday, October 21st: TWO EVENTS!
Believe in our Schools Service Project - 10am-4pm Join RAC, CCSJ, and SGA for a campus wide service initiative! FREE transportation and FREE lunch provided! The Loyola community will travel to an area middle/high school to help paint and restore a city institution.
RAC Fall Concert - The Spotlight and Jump the Gun - 8pm-11pm Before heading off campus for a night on the town, or if you're looking for a local event, stop by McGuire Hall for a FREE campus band concert! FREE refreshements provided!
Sunday, October 22nd: TWO EVENTS!
Zoo Booo! Service Project - Maryland Zoo - 9am-4:15pm Looking for a create way to give back? Join RAC and the Baltimore community at the Maryland Zoo for their 23rd annual Halloween celebration. Loyola memebers will be present to pass out candy to kids while they navigate haunted activities, face painting, costume contests, etc... FREE transportation provided! Students have the option to serve in several ways. You may come for one shift (9-1:15pm or 12:15pm-4:15pm) however if you stay for both, RAC will provide you FREE lunch! Buses leave behind Newman Towers at the above times!
Weber's Cider Mill Farm - 2-5pm Getting ready for Halloween? Pick a pumpkin, make a scarecrow, hunt through the maze, take the Hillside Slide, or enjoy some apple cider! A taste of fall right at your fingertips! FREE transporation and FREE admission provided by RAC! Bus will leave behind Newman Towers. Visit www.webersfarm.com for more information!
