MISSION STATEMENT: Inspired by Catholic and Jesuit social teaching, Loyola ALIVE members, both individually and collectively, have made a profound commitment to the value and dignity of all human life. These teachings profess that true peace, justice, and reconciliation with God can never be realized without actively seeking to live the Gospel of Life through respectful dialogue and supporting the rights and dignity of all persons from the moment of conception until natural death. We believe that our respect for human dignity is at the core of service and justice, and therefore we prayerfully and actively promote this truth.
Loyola Alive is a student group at Loyola University Maryland which operates under the guidance of the Office of Campus Ministry. Its members are dedicated to showing respect for the inherent dignity and sanctity of all human life, from conception to natural death. FOCUS: Each month throughout the academic year Loyola Alive members commit to learning, educating, and praying about a major contemporary issue that poses a threat to the dignity of human life through discussion and service. Loyola Alive members are committed to moving toward a fuller understanding of Catholic Social Teaching and the image of life as a Seamless Garment. CLUB PRESIDENT: TJ Dygert (tjdygert@loyola.edu)
