MISSION STATEMENT: Loyola Alive serves to promote the human dignity of all people, to support the right of every human being to life, to educate the College community about the Catholic Church’s teachings on life issues, and to foster understanding and dialogue between people who hold diverse opinions on these issues.
Loyola Alive is a student group at Loyola University Maryland which operates under the guidance of the Department of Campus Ministry. Its members are dedicated to showing respect for the inherent dignity and sanctity of all human life, from conception to natural death. FOCUS: Each month throughout the academic year Loyola Alive members commit to learning, educating, and praying about a major contemporary issue that poses a threat to the dignity of human life through discussion and service. Loyola Alive members are committed to moving toward a fuller understanding of Catholic Social Teaching and the image of life as a Seamless Garment.
