NEWS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS

Loyola's Thanksgiving Food Drive to Benefit Govans Neighbors

During the month of November, CCSJ coordinates a food drive to benefit the CARES Food Pantry located on York Road, right next door to Loyola's campus.  Loyola has traditionally provided a Thanksgiving dinner for 150 families and that is our goal for this year.  We attempt to collect canned goods and other non-perishable items, and all the turkeys are purchased.  Therefore, we depend largely on monetary donations to meet our goal of providing Thanksgiving meals for our Govans neighbors.  Volunteers are needed to sort the donations as well as help deliver the donations to the food pantry on Saturday, November 22. The Thanksgiving Food Drive begins in early November and ends Friday, November 21.  Donations can be delivered to the CCSJ office in Cohn Hall.  Thanks for your generosity!  Contact Jillian Delos Reyes at jldelosreyes@loyola.edu with questions.

Needed items:
canned vegetables and sweet potatoes
mashed potato flakes
cranberry sauce
gravy
stuffing
pie filling
cake or brownie mix

Sign up to volunteer to help with the Food Drive!
