Evaluation / Education It is very important to step back and look critically at the entire service process. The evaluation process involves taking “the long view” and deciding which elements are meaningful and should be retained and which need to be adjusted. Our volunteers are a integral part in making sure that the programs that we offer are truly educating our students and helping them grow. So, at the conclusion of every service experience (usually at the end of the semester or when a trip ends), we ask students to evaluate their experience. Questions such as, “Were your expectations of the service experience met?” “How did this experience impact you?” “Is there anything that would have enhanced your experience?” “Were you committed to the program?” CCSJ takes these evaluations seriously and will use them to help ensure that future volunteers have an enriching and positive experience. |
